Advising on Equal Opportunity and Diversity Aspects when Applying for Research Grants
Gender and Diversity Consulting at Paderborn University is a consultancy and service offered by the Central Equal Opportunities Officer and supports all planned and ongoing collaborative research projects (e.g. Collaborative Research Centers, Research Training Groups, Research Groups) in promoting equal opportunities.
Equal opportunities is a decision-relevant criterion for the approval of funding from national and international third-party funding bodies (e.g. DFG, BMBF, EU). Equality concepts and equality measures often have to be integrated into funding applications.
Gender Consulting provides advice and support with the application process, the assessment and the implementation of the measures. This service includes
- Information on applying for additional funding for gender equality
- Provision of network-specific data
- Advice on the development of network-specific objectives, equality concepts and equality measures as well as presentation in the funding application
- Support with the implementation of measures
Information on the topics "Equal opportunities and diversity in DFG funding procedures" and "Relevance of gender and diversity in research" can be found on the DFG website.
The topic of equal opportunities is also playing an increasingly important role in EU funding; for example, gender aspects are a prerequisite for funding in the Horizon Europe framework program.
If you have any questions about national and international research funding programs that go beyond the topic of gender and diversity, the Research Unit will be happy to assist you.
